Port of Brisbane is Queensland’s premier port and logistics hub. As the third largest container port and one of the most diverse multi-cargo ports in the country, Port of Brisbane is an economic powerhouse, driving Queensland and Australia’s trade growth.
On average, approximately $50 billion in international trade is handled annually through the Port including a record 1.49 million TEUs in 2020/21.
It’s also a key trade gateway, connecting Australia’s exporters with global markets. Around half of Queensland’s agricultural exports are handled through the Port annually including approximately 50% of the national cotton crop each year.
Port of Brisbane also provides world-class deep water marine facilities, integrated cargo handling infrastructure and strong transport connectivity to major arterial road and rail networks ensuring customers can maximise logistics and transport efficiencies.
