STILLER Warwick

Dr Warwick Stiller joined CSIRO in 1995 and has worked in the Cotton Breeding Program ever since. In 2015 he took over the leadership of the program and has continued to build on the successes of his predecessors, developing and releasing all the varieties that are currently grown in Australia. In addition, his specific research areas are around improving pest resistance, particularly through transfer of genes from related species. He has been working on Black Root Rot resistance for almost two decades and is looking forward to seeing the industry impact of this work before he retires!
