Dr Quan Nguyen is a passionate Agri-Environmental Scientist with 15+ years of work experience in greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) accounting for agricultural production systems. He earned his PhD in Soil Fertility and Soil Health Management with a focus on soil carbon and nitrogen modelling, the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2018. For the last four years, Dr Nguyen’s work has been focusing on life cycle assessment (LCA) modelling of Australian crops, horticulture, and livestock production systems. His most recent published LCA studies emphasised on the environmental impacts of Australian cotton in extreme expansion and contraction scenarios in response to changes in the global cotton fibre demand. His career aim is to develop a working mechanism to connect consumers directly to the growers and producers to achieve their sustainable goals together.
