Dr James Neilsen is the Field Crops Agronomic Systems Lead for Bayer Asia Pacific. James oversees the technical development and implementation of Bayer’s portfolio in cereals, cotton, soybean and sugarcane. James works to improve cropping systems for farmers in these crops through the introduction of new technologies and development of integrated farming solutions.
James has been with Bayer for 14 years, in addition to working in Australia in cotton and canola, James spent four years working in Singapore developing technology for smallholder corn farmers and a further three years leading the strategy to upskill and empower smallholder farmers.
Prior to Bayer, James was a Postdoctoral fellow with CSIRO researching cotton water use and obtained his PhD in Agricultural Science from the University of Tasmania.
