Michael Every is Global Strategist for Rabobank. Formerly based in Hong Kong and now in Singapore, he analyses the major developments both regionally and globally, and draws out the major underlying investment themes for clients. He contributes to the bank’s various economic research publications, frequently appears in the financial media, and is a regular key-note speaker at conferences.

Michael has more than 22 years of experience working as both economist and strategist, and has lived and worked in 10 countries. Before joining Rabobank in 2013, he was a Director at Silk Road Associates, a consultancy based in Bangkok. Prior to that, he was Senior Economist/Fixed Income Strategist at the Royal Bank of Canada in both London and Sydney, and an Economist for Dun & Bradstreet in London.

Michael holds a Masters degree in Economics (with distinction) from University College London and speaks a smattering of languages he has picked up on his travels, including Slovak, Russian, and what was once fluent Thai.
