COSGROVE Chris

Since founding agrifood sustainability consultancy Sustenance Asia in 2014, Chris Cosgrove has worked in the beef, cotton and grains industries to deliver innovative, pragmatic and collaborative sustainability outcomes. In addition to supporting the cotton industry’s PLANET PEOPLE PADDOCK sustainability framework, he has used under-utilised data to provide animal welfare evidence in a beef supply chain, developed a Reconciliation Action Plan, contributed to the red meat industry’s 10-year strategic plan, and supported development of indicators for the grains industry’s sustainability framework.

Chris has been involved in corporate sustainability since 2002. He previously worked in the Federal government and in public relations consultancies, where his work included managing communications for the ASX listing of Namoi Cotton and launching the drumMUSTER program nationally. Chris has authored a young adult sustainability novel, speaks intermediate level Mandarin Chinese, and has worked in Australia and Hong Kong.
