BIRCH Peter

Peter Birch has been an agronomist in the cotton industry around Moree for 38 years. He has been growing dryland cotton on his own account for 35 years. During that time he has actively worked within the industry to improve the yield and reliability of dryland cotton. Amongst other achievements he was integral in the adoption of control traffic in north-west New South Wales and also pioneered the super singles cotton row configuration. 

He leads a team of 14 cotton agronomists at B&W Rural all actively involved in cotton growing and irrigated and dryland cotton research.
