Growing up on a cotton farm on the Darling Downs and now living on a cotton property in Theodore, Fleur has a strong sense of rural communities and the role of the cotton industry in their economic and social fabric. These interests have seen Fleur work in many facets of the cotton industry including advocacy roles, current Director of Cotton Australia, President of the Dawson Valley Cotton Growers Association and GIS farm mapping. Fleur’s work has focused across the agriculture, resources, not-for profit and government sectors. In 2011 Fleur received the cotton industry’s Young Achiever of the Year Award, was a finalist in the Queensland Rural Women’s Award in 2010 and participated in the first Future Cotton Leaders Program in 2005. Fleur was a director of the Queensland Rural Regional and Remote Womens Network, member of Queensland Resources Council (QRC) Community Engagement and Social Policy Committee and a next Gen member of Philanthropy Australia.
She is the current Chair of the 2018 Australian Cotton Conference Committee and is currently participating in the Australian Rural Leadership Program.
