Opportunities to Present
The program for the Australian Cotton Conference is developed by the Conference Committee. There are two ways in which presenters are selected:
- The Committee invites presenters to speak
- Researchers (research, development and extension) are invited to nominate for a Three Minute Thesis speaking opportunity
Should you wish to suggest a potential speaker to the Committee for consideration, please email Guy Roth at email@example.com. Our program will fill quickly, so don’t delay!
Conference would like to provide a presentation opportunity for everyone but unfortunately plenary program opportunities are limited. Suggestions will be well considered and the Committee’s decision regarding inclusion will be final.
Three Minute Thesis – Researcher Nominations
The Three Minute Thesis encourages researchers (research and development or extension) to present their work to the Conference audience in an engaging way. Researchers will have just three minutes to present a compelling presentation on a topic and its significance. Speakers may have one Powerpoint slide only (or choose to have none at all).
Researchers can use the opportunity to present results or simply seek input depending on the stage of the project. The Three Minute Thesis category is perhaps best known as a competition, however in the context of Conference it is not a competition, but rather an opportunity to present research.
The Committee hopes to have approximately 30 Three Minute Thesis presentations. The Committee will consider all nominations and its decision regarding inclusion in the Conference program is final.
