Ross Hampton is CEO of the Australian Forest Products Association, a position he has held since 2013.
Mr Hampton is a veteran of the federal policy and political scene having worked, at various times, as a reporter, adviser and policy advocate for the last three decades in Canberra and overseas.
Mr Hampton has a long exposure and association with the issues confronting the Forest and Forest Products sector including energy policy, water policy, climate change policy, trade policy, industrial relations policy and environment protection.
Mr Hampton has a Master’s in Public Policy and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Hampton is a member of the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations and a member of the UN FAO Advisory Committee on Sustainable Forest Based Industries.
