Joe Foley holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering with a major in Agricultural Engineering, a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering on experimental fluid mechanics and has completed a PhD in Irrigation Engineering, testing and modelling improvements in the performance of centre pivots and lateral moves. Irrigation was an important part of his early farming career in horticultural and irrigated grain production, and these experiences have always provided practical insight into the research and development he has undertaken in irrigation. Joe teaches Irrigation and Hydraulic Engineering courses to senior Engineering students, and supervises five postgraduate Engineering students.
