Session 3c Pitch from the Paddock
Tuesday August 07 at 4:15 pm
Zoltan Csaki is a self-taught fashion designer on a mission to redefine how clothes are made at scale in the 21st century. His third startup Citizen Wolf makes ethical custom fit t-shirts from their Sydney factory with zero waste – proving unequivocally that fashion can be fast without hurting people or planet. Citizen Wolf has been featured in Vogue, InStyle, Men’s Health, The Australian and The Sydney Morning Herald to name but a few. And at the prestigious 2017 Prix de Marie Claire Awards was also a finalist ‘Best Ethical Fashion Brand in Australia’ category.
Zoltan speaks regularly about ethical supply chains and the intersection of technology and fashion including at the Powerhouse / Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS), the Ethics Centre Sydney, the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF), the International Sourcing Expo Australia and the Fashion Design Studio at Ultimo TAFE.
The biggest problem in fashion is fit. Mass production forces everyone into standard sizes which fail most people (81% to be precise). At Citizen Wolf we use technology to automate the process of tailoring, starting with the humble t-shirt. Not everyone wears fancy suits but we all deserve clothes that fit, so we make it simple and fast to get exactly what you want:
1. Choose your style
2. Pick your fabric and colour
3. Add tailoring via Magic Fit
Our Magic Fit algorithm replaces clunky measuring tapes with 94% accurate biometric prediction. Based on only 4 data points (height, weight, age and bra) we create a mathemagical model of your body and a personalised pattern which is then cut by laser, ethically sewn in Sydney and ready for delivery within 7-10 days. And because we keep your pattern on file, reordering is so easy you never have to go shopping again!
